In 2007-2008, during the refurbishment of the group's usual home on the campus of Sydney University, Sekaa Gong Tirta Sinar (SGTS) have been holding their practice sessions at the Conservatorium of Music using the Conservatorium's new Gamelan Gong Semarandana. This has given the group an opportunity to learn and perform on a gamelan different to their usual Gamelan Gong Kebyar.
SGTS gratefully acknowledges Sydney Conservatorium of Music for the use of its Gamelan for this recital.

the acquisition by The Australian Museum, Sydney, of a complete set of gong kebyar instruments,
built in the same year at the Sidha Karya Gong Foundry, Gianyar, Bali.
Weekly practice sessions are instituted, continuing to the present.
